Over the course of the week of Microsoft Inspire 2019, there were some major announcements within the Microsoft Partner community which are intended to deepen the partnerships, align with how the industry is growing and help customers.
Here are the highlights from these announcements;
Launch of the new Microsoft Business Applications ISV Connect Program
ISVs that build on Microsoft Dynamics 365 and PowerApps can offer their customers innovative apps they couldn’t build elsewhere using connections to industry-leading cloud services on Azure and developer tools built just for them.
The Business Applications ISV Connect Program brings together platform and program benefits created specifically for ISVs to support their success. Launched by Microsoft on July 15th, this program will improve partnerships with ISVs through platform investments, development tool enhancements and go to market support.
Expanding our Dynamics 365 Industry Accelerators
Industry accelerators allow Microsoft partners, like Spanish Point Technologies, to go to market fast. Microsoft have announced two new industry accelerators;
Industry experts collaborated highly in the development of these accelerators to provide pre-built dashboards, sample data, and workflows that align with common industry scenarios.
Updating our Dynamics 365 packaging model
Customers need software that aligns and adds to their functional roles and scenarios within an organisation. In addition, customers require the ability to add, remove or alter applications as their company grows and changes over time.
The updated Microsoft Dynamics 365 licensing plans will focus on providing customers with Dynamics 365 applications that are tailored to each organisation’s unique needs and specifications.
Introducing new licensing options for PowerApps and Microsoft Flow
Innovations such as AI Builder and PowerApps Portals are currently available. Building on these portals, Microsoft are introducing new licensing options in October 2019.
These new licensing options are based on customer feedback as well the community of makers and creators who shared in the Power Platform Journey. The new licensing options for PowerApps and Microsoft Flow will;
Customers realizing the potential of digital transformation
Customers are continually realising the potential digital transformation has to positively impact their business processes. Unilever have been transforming it’s business with Microsoft technologies such as Power BI and Power Apps to increase productivity and empower it’s employees to solve problems without the need for a developer.
Additionally, Crane Worldwide Logistic, a Dynamics 365 customer, are seamlessly combining customer engagement data with data about customer and seller activities from Office 365, as well as from LinkedIn – even when these interactions take place outside their CRM. With Dynamics 365 Sales Insights, sellers are able to focus on the right customers, thanks to AI-driven insights that flag existing accounts that need extra attention, as well as leads that offer the most potential.
